Willeo Creek residents, come exercise your funny bone by making it out to see Improv Monster at Events @590 , upstairs from Pico Autentico, on Mimosa Boulevard in Roswell to enjoy true stories and live comedy completely unscripted. This Saturday at 8p.m. bring your friends for a night filled with comedy and audience interaction. Tickets are $15 and can be purchased in cash at the door or at All Y’alls Wine & Gourmet Market. Patrons but be 21 or over.
The veteran cast of Improv Monster had previously performed inside the perimeter at Midtown’s Relapse Theatre. They use real life stories from audience members as the basis for their scenes instead of meager one word suggestions.
“They don’t literally act out the stories, but draw on little details, turns of phrase or overall themes as springboards,” said Curt Holman of Creative Loafing. The group has a classic sketch comedy structure and brings classy whit and wisdom along with classic Chicago and San Francisco-style long-form improve comedy.

Thanks for the plug! But just FYI, our Improv Monster run in Roswell ended last week. We’re taking this week off, then on August 13th we’ll be debuting a brand new show at Events @ 590, ANYTOWN: The Improvised Musical! The show is basically a 90-minute Broadway-style musical comedy, with singing, dancing and crazy characters all made up on the spot from YOUR audience suggestions.
