Valentine’s Day is almost here, but of course those Kay, Jared, 1-800-flowers, and other commercials already let you know this back in early January. Residents here at Willeo Creek Apartments are busy finalizing their plans for that special day, February 14! Where are you and your significant other going? Are you single and ready to mingle with a group of friends? Either way, celebrate Valentine’s Day with gifts, love and friendship. Below are a few tips on gift giving for Valentine’s Day. Flickr

Plan ahead! If you haven’t already thought about what gift you will get, hurry up! Pre-planning and forethought really helps to make the gift special and unique.

Be yourself! If you aren’t naturally a mushy person, don’t give a mushy gift. Your date like you for who you are. If you would rather get your date hockey tickets instead of a teddy bear, do it.

Don’t give a practical gift. She may have said that she needs a new microwave but that doesn’t make it a good Valentine’s gift. You’re guy may need an oil change or a fluffier pillow but think about how to get them a special gift from the heart.

Put flowers in a vase, don’t leave them in the plastic wrap from the store. Just because you may have gone to the grovery store to get your date’s flowers doesn’t mean you have to advertise it.
